Emergency Savings Shortfalls Skew Young, With Gen Zers Most Affected
Methodology
Data is from the February 2026 Bankrate "2026 Annual Emergency Savings Report" conducted by SSRS. 1,030 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed online (n=1,000) and by telephone (n=30) during May 16-19, 2025. The study was conducted via the SSRS Opinion Panel Omnibus, which is a national, probability-based survey fielded twice per month. The margin of error for total respondents is +/-3.9 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. Figures are weighted to be representative of the US adult population.Chart Title
